Pineapple Express ( I can assure you my dear, there are spoilers ahead)

50 words or less

Seth Rogan and James Franco team up for this stoner comedy.  The plot follows Rogan as he witnesses a drug war related murder.  Rogan goes to his dealer (Franco) for help, but both of them end up on the run in this hilarious romp.

What’s good?

Rogan and Franco riff off each other very well.  Great comedic duo.

Gary Cole (as the villian) and Craig Robinson (as a lackey) steal every scene they are in.

The humour works even if your not a stoner (as I’ve been told by pals).

Amber Heard.  Rowrl!

What’s not good?

Where are the bazoomba’s?  I want boobies in a stoner comedy!

Half an hour to long.  In the final act I was getting restless.

Would have been rad to see another Freaks and Geeks actor do a cameo.  The scene in Knocked up where Rogan, Jason Segal, and Martin Starr are riffing in the night club, was worthy of a high five.  I wanted a Freak and Geeks high five moment in this film.

Out of 10?

7.  Had some very good chuckles but the last 20 minutes lost it a bit.  Also, don’t think it has the strength to be watched as many times as Knocked Up.  Overall, a really good film to watch with a bunch of pals.

Final Word: Is Ed Begley Jr nowhere near as tall as he used to be?
